Mahindra Developing XUV 500 Petrol for Export Markets
Mahindra is working on a petrol engine for XUV 500.Mahindra current has only diesel engine.In India people always looks for diesel engine.But in most markets its not like that.Mahindra has huge plans with XUV 500.This is the global SUV for Mahindra.So they have to develop the petrol engine also.President of Mahindra Automotive sector Pawan Goenka told CNBC TV – 18 that “Today we are exporting petrol Scorpio, we are currently working on a petrol XUV, not ready yet, but will be ready in some time again for export right now. So, for export we do gasoline SUVs and that we can launch in India also”.So Mahindra already has a petrol engine which is used for Scorpio.So we can expect a different tuned version of the same motor which will be going to the XUV 500.Mahindra XUV 500 will make in to production next year.
